Steffen Buch

Steffen Buch is Senior Director at Infineon's Corporate Logic divsion. He is the head of the Advanced Systems & Circuits department, a pre-development group responsible for the development of new digital IP and new design approaches for future technology nodes on one side and the application of the research results in product designs of Infinoen's logic divisions on the other.

Steffen was born in Eilenburg, Germany, in 1969. He studied electrical engineering at the Chemnitz University of Technology (CUT), Germany, and the University of South Australia in Adelaide. In 1995 he received a Dipl.-Ing. degree from CUT. In 1996 he joined the semiconductor division of Siemens AG which is now Infineon Technologies AG. He held several positions in algorithm development, concept engineering and chip design of wireless and wireline telecommunication circuits. From 1999 to 2003 he was heading a group working on signal processing IP blocks applied to mobile communication, automotive and consumer products. September 2003 he became department manager of Advanced Systems & Circuits. His research interests include DSP architectures and implementations, system level design and verification and the link between future technology and product requirements and modern system on chip architectures.
