Yuriy Sheynin

Yuriy Sheynin is Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Information systems and Director of the Institute of High Performance Computer and Network Technologies at the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation.

Graduated Leningrad Instituted of Aerospace Instrumentation, USSR (1973, Engineer in Computer Engineering ) , Candidate of Science (equal to PhD, in Computer Science, 1979, from the Leningrad Instituted of Aerospace Instrumentation), Doctor of Science (in Computer Science and Software Engineering, 2002, from the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation).

Lecturing : Computer Architecture; Advanced Microprocessors; High-Performance Computer Systems; VLSI Computer Engineering; Computer Systems and Networks; Operating Systems for HPC; Distributed Computing over Computer Networks.

Research interests: Parallel Computer Architectures. Parallel computations formal models. System Level Integration.
Systems-on-Chip (SoC), VLSI Architectures, NoC. Parallel programming. Operating systems for parallel and distributed computers. Real-time and embedded software.

He is the author of 7 books and text-books, including: “Microprocessor Computer Systems” (1979), “Avionics Microprocessor Systems Programming” (1983), “Microprocessors: Development and Programming” (1985), “ATM Technology in High-Performance Networks” (2000), “Digital Systems Design in VHDL”, (2003).
