Pierre Fiorini graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Normale Supérieure and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées. Pierre obtained a PhD degree with Honor from Université Paris-Sud in 1995. Pierre Fiorini is ACM and IEEE Member.
At the beginning of his career, as a military engineer, Pierre leaded a R&D group for the French Ministry of Defence. This group of fifteen people worked on the architectures for real-time highly parallel computers. During the same period, Pierre was Associate Professor of l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées for the Operating System course.
Pierre left the Minister of Defence in 1996, for the Minister of Industry where he was first Deputy-Head, then Head of the Telecom and Multimedia Division. At this occasion, Pierre organized one of the first R&D network for collaborative public and private research in France : PRIAMM for the sector of audiovisual and multimedia industries.
Pierre joined I-Source Gestion in 2000 to launch the C-Source Fund dedicated to early-stage investments in audiovisual & multimedia technologies. Pierre is still part of the Strategic Committee of the RIAM Research Network. He is currently member of the board of several companies : Bionatics, Expway, Iwedia and Nétia, and has leaded ten investments with the C-Source Fund since its creation.
