Mika Kuulusa

Mika Kuulusa is a research specialist at Nokia Technology Platforms. He got his PhD degree in 2000 from Tampere University of Technology where his research topics focused on low-power DSP processors, hardware accelerators for cellular baseband, and embedded software. He worked two years at University of California Berkeley developing an ultra low power wireless terminal in the Picoradio project. After time in academia, he joined Nokia in 2003 and now leads system architecture research in Symbian Product Platforms. His key interests are ARM multiprocessors, multimedia accelerators, high-speed interconnects for chips, and tools for minimizing software power consumption.
