Sooik Chae received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University in 1976 and 1978, respectively, and the Ph.D degree from Stanford University in 1987.
He was an instructor of electronics engineering at Korean Air Force Academy from 1978 to 1982. He also worked as a manager in the ASIC design group of ZyMos Corporation and Daewoo Telecom Company from 1987 to 1990. He joined Seoul National University where he is currently Professor . He had been Director of ISRC (Inter-university Semiconductor Research Center) from Mar. 2001 to Feb. 2003. He is Director of Center for SoC Design Technology.
