Bio:
Xiaoyao Liang is a professor and principal investigator in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include computer processor and system architectures, energy efficient and resilient microprocessor design, high throughput and parallel computing, general purpose graphic processing unit (GPGPU) and hardware/software co-design for the cloud and mobile computing. He is also interested in IC design, VLSI methodology, FPGA innovations and compiler technology. He has published many papers at top international conferences such as ISCA, HPCA, MICRO, ISSCC and ICCAD. Two of his papers were selected into IEEE Micro Top Picks, awarded annually to 10 best papers from all the top computer architecture conferences. He is also a PC member and reviewer for many top conferences and journals. Xiaoyao Liang obtained his Ph.D degree from Harvard University. He has ample industry experience working as a senior architect or IC designer at companies like NVIDIA, Intel and IBM.
