Norbert Wehn holds the chair for Microlectronic System Design in the department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Kaiserslautern. He has published more than 100 papers in international conferences and journals in various areas of CAD and VLSI design. Before he was appointed a professor, he was head of product development for embedded memory products and graphic memories at Infineon. He is member of the board of the European Design Automation Association and chairman of the german  ITG/GMM group "Rechnergestützter Schaltungs- und Systementwurf". He is technical consultant of Infineon and Alcatel. In 2003 he served as TPC for DATE2003 and is vice-general chair of DATE2004. His special research interests are VLSI-architectures for mobile communication, low-power, on-chip communication architectures and advanced design methodologies.
