Tryggve Fossum grew up in Norway and has degrees in mathematics from Univ of
Oslo and a PhD from Univ of Illinois.
He has designed computers at Digital, Compaq, and now Intel, working on
the first VAX, the last Alpha, and Itanium, Xeon, and Pentium at Intel.
Tryggve is an Intel Fellow. He leads a team of computer architects with
a focus on chip level multiprocessing.
