What does power management bring for heterogeneous MPSoCs?

Abstract:

Heterogeneous MPSoCs excel at delivering computing performance and controlling energy/power consumption demanded by today's and future electronic products at the same time. Sophisticated power management such as DVFS has been widely used recently in many MPSoC designs. This presentation talks about a recent case study on understanding what power management actually brings for heterogeneous MPSoCs in terms of different performance metrics.

Bio:

Mr. Sheng has spearheaded the technology development on multicore programming tools at RWTH Aachen University from 2007 to 2013, which later turned into the foundation of Silexica. His early career roots are in the electronic design automation industry. He has a proven record of successful consultation and collaboration with top tier technology companies on multicore design tools. Mr. Sheng is a co-founder of Silexica Software Solutions GmbH in Germany and now serves as Chief Technology Officer.
