An update of AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform and application of scalable distributed microkernels
Abstract
The development of Highly Automated Driving (HAD), leading to full autonomy in future is in top gear. As this is becoming more commonplace now, as with any industry, this is calling for technology standards, especially as such system is highly complex, distributed, and tens of large corporation collaborate to design and build a car - the standard interface is essential for full deployment of not just technically but also economically efficient commercialization of automated driving. This talk will provide an update on latest AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform standard. Overview of new components, functionalities, and guidelines will be given. Also, application of a scalable distributed microkernel OS to this new platform is discussed, providing an overview of how this new OS design is highly suitable for this high-performance edge compute.
