3D-LiDAR technology for high level autonomous driving systems and sensor interface requirements for SoC (ECU)
Abstract
3D-LiDAR for high-level autonomous driving sysytem used to be reqired for long-distance sensing which can not be sensed by a camera or a radar in the beginning. However, recently, in order to enhance safe and reliable driving, a demand for short-distance and medium-distance sensing is increasing. In this presentation the trend of 3D-LiDAR technology is introduce and explained as well as 3D-LiDAR technology developing by PIONEER. In addition, as the development of autonomous driving technology progresses, interface between sensors and ECU/SoC become more important. Describing the points to be considered in determining the interface, requirements of the sensor interface in the ECU/SoC are explained.
