Acceleration Technology to Realize Super Resolution Processing of Scanned Image for MFP

In the current MFPs, basic functions have reached sufficient performance. In the future, we will consider introducing advanced image processing functions using AI to increase added value. In this article, we will introduce AI acceleration technology with FPGA, which is working to realize super resolution processing of scanned images.
Biography
Masahiro Murakami is a senior manager of IoT Service Platform Development Operations at KONICA MINOLTA, Inc. He joined IBM Japan in 1990, where he was engaged in ASIC/SoC design for IBM products and customer products, like PC, videogame, etc. After that he joined KONICA MINOLTA, Inc in 2012, where he has been engaged in managing of controller platform development for MFP. Currently, he leads the development of the IoT platform using the deep learning accelerator as a manager.
