Title:

The Intersection of Internet of Things and the Cloud: A Perspective from the Semiconductor Industry

Abstract:

Cloud computing and the Internet of Things will enable new opportunities for vertically-integrated semiconductor companies. However, bridging the gap between the cloud and physical objects requires convergence between many technologies, as well as changes in business models. One perspective on this convergence can be summarized as a "physical app model". This talk will describe the physical app model, and give practical applications in areas such as health care and security.
