Title:

Data Compression Processor for Biomedical Information Sensing Platform

Abstract:

Medical applications are expected to be one of the most important applications in future society. Biomedical information sensing systems are composed of a lot of small nodes (processors) which scans data, processes it in digital signal domain, and sends it by wireless communication. In biomedical information sensing systems, wireless communication requires a large part of energy consumptions in nodes. This talk introduces a compact algorithm for biomedical data compression, and an energy efficient implementation using ASIP.
