From software defined network(SDN) to software defined infrastructure(SDI)
Download SlidesAbstract
The first application of software defined system is software defined network, SDN. Even though SDN is a computer network, it can organize various networks including carrier networks. In SDN, the servers which are called “soft”, provide almost all network functions instead of the conventional switches, routers and etc. Currently, we are developing a software defined IoT network by using the concept of SDN. In this talk, I would like to introduce 2 issues; one is how to enhance Network Function Virtualization (NFV) which is a key component of SDN, by hetero computing, another is our concept of software defined IoT network, SDI(Software defined ICT Infrastructure).
