Model-based MPSOC Self-adaptation for Critical Systems
Abstract
Highly dependable systems operate with performance margins to maintain system function in case of critical conditions, such as environmental stress or errors. Current design processes assign such margins at design time and require replacement or repair if the margins are violated. Variability, system dynamics and long-term parameter deviations require increasing margins reducing cost and performance efficiency. In this talk, we present an approach to system management that preserves required margins with a combination of model-based online margin adaptation and online diagnosis using self-identification. This work is part of a US-German collaboration funded by NSF and DFG.
